Your News... In Real-Time!

At Bruce Middle School we've decided to go paperless with our newsletter.

There are two advantages to this:

- The saving of paper is a savings in costs and more importantly another step in our ongoing commitment to sustainability.

- By offering news in this format, we can now provide our community with real-time news as it happens, instead of waiting until the end of the month to send out information.

2014 Spaghetti Bridge Competition

Congratulations to all who took part in the 2014 Spaghetti Bridge Competition on March 15, 2014 at Kildonan Place Shopping Centre. Based on the bridges that all the students built, the combined weight held was 15,618lbs. The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Manitoba (APEGM) donated that amount at $1/lb to Winnipeg Harvest who can turn it around 20x with their buying power. With matching donations from Peak of the Market and Canada Safeway, Winnipeg Harvest received a donation of over 343,500 lbs of food based on the bridges built by all the students across the province!
